Ouroboros

The Ouroboros, the mythical snake coiling up on itself, resonates with our era through its representation of renewal and finitude. This symbol crosses time and cultures, embodying duality and the union of opposites: life and death, light and darkness, good and evil.

In my graphite work entitled "Ouroboros", I explore the idea of eternity and continuity. The abstraction of the snake biting its own tail, with its meticulous detail, evokes an endless cycle. The contrast between light and shadow highlights the duality of our existence, inviting us to reflect on the cyclical nature of our reality.

By rotating the work "Ouroboros" on all four sides, I reveal the symbol's ability to offer a unique visual experience at every orientation. This rotation underlines the work's versatility, revealing and interpreting itself in new ways, reflecting the evolving nature of our perception and the abundance of individual interpretations.

This method highlights the universality and harmony of the Ouroboros, confirming that, whatever the perspective adopted, the cycle of life continues unabated.
